UPDATED:
NEW YORK (77 WABC) – The NYPD is reporting that a man has turned himself in after the video above was released early on Tuesday.

NEW YORK (77 WABC) – The NYPD is  asking for the public’s assistance to help identify the three individuals seen in the surveillance video above along with the photo below.  The three individuals are believed to be involved in the non-fatal shooting of a 16 year-old female at around 3:55 p.m. on Monday afternoon in front of 89-29 161st Street between 89th and 90th Avenues in Jamaica, Queens.  The 16 year-old girl heard shot being fired prior to being shot in the left shoulder.  She was transported to Long Island Jewish Medical Center where she remains in stable condition, no firearm was recovered from the scene and the shooter is believed to have fled the location by foot.

The three individuals are described as Black males in their teens or early 20’s each with a dark complexion, thin build and wearing black hooded sweatshirts and dark colored pants.  One of the males was observed wearing a red jacket with white colored sleeves.  Police do not believe that she was the intended target but they do think the shooting was gang-related and possibly linked to the shooting death of 14 year-old Aamar Griffin at the Baisley Park Houses also in Jamaica, Queens.

The NYPD asks that anyone with information related to this incident to please call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  Tips can also be submitted online by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, or socially on Twitter @NYPDTips.  All information shared is strictly confidential.
